Dr. Sunil Gupta is a highly accomplished consultant haematologist at the Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust (LGT) in South London. His expertise lies in paraproteinemias and myeloid malignancies, and he has received training in haematology from some of the world’s premier institutions, including King’s College Hospital London, Royal North Shore Hospital (Sydney, Australia), National University Hospital (Singapore), and All India Institute of Medical Sciences (India).

One of Dr. Gupta’s notable achievements is his recent attainment of a Level 7 senior-level MBA degree from Hult Ashridge (USA) with distinction. His MBA research project focused on AI-powered medical documentation in the NHS, showcasing his commitment to advancing healthcare through innovative solutions.

Dr. Gupta commenced his career in haematology as a research fellow in the NCI-sponsored Multi-centre project 841 on paediatric acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL). Since then, he has been a pioneer in clinical research, leading research and development in haematology at LGT and East Sussex Healthcare. As a Principal Investigator (PI), he has overseen more than 10 national and commercial clinical trials, demonstrating his dedication to advancing medical knowledge and patient care.

Notably, Dr. Gupta actively participated in the national TACTIC Covid-19 trial, contributing to global efforts in understanding and combating the impact of the pandemic.

In addition to his clinical and research roles, Dr. Gupta holds key positions in medical education. He serves as the lead for the Cancer and Genetics block for the GKT School of Medicine at LGT. Furthermore, he has held the positions of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) approver and advisor for the Federation of the Royal College of Physicians in the UK, reflecting his commitment to shaping the future of medical professionals.

Beyond his professional commitments, Dr. Gupta engages in philanthropy by supporting a charitable hospital in a remote area of central India. Additionally, he runs a Yoga center in South London where he generously dedicates 90 minutes every week to teaching Yoga, breathing techniques, and meditation for free, emphasizing his holistic approach to health and well-being.
